Tuck's "Oilette" series

Here is  a postcard from the Raphael Tuck & Sons' "Oilette" Edinburgh series (7293). 

This card reproduces a painting by John Blair

Tuck's description on the back of this card reads:

"Edinburgh from Calton Hill.  A beautiful view of a beautiful city.  West from the hill shows the picturesque and irregular mass of the castle, immediately behind the classic monument to Dugald Stuart which occupies the foreground of the picture.

On the left is seen part of the Old Town with the Imperial Crown of St Giles, the spire of the Tolbooth Church and the dome of the Bank of Scotland."

This is one of three distant views of Edinburgh and its castle that I have seen from the "Oilette" Edinburgh series (7293).
