This
postcard with its Queen Victoria half-penny stamp was posted
on 15 October 1901, nine months after her death.
It shows
how postcards were used at the time. Until the
legislation was changed in 1902, postcards had undivided
backs. The message was written on the front of the card
beneath the picture.
Only the address was permitted on the back. |
