The Photo

Thank you to Johnni Stanton for allowing me to reproduce this photograph from his Dad's collection.  Johnni tells me that he has no idea who is in the photo.  However, I find the photo to be appealing

This view looks down from the crags in Holyrood Park, looking over Dumbiedykes and the old town of Edinburgh.

Perhaps somebody with a good knowledge of the Dumbiedykes area might be able to have a look at this enlarged copy of the photo and estimate when it might have been taken.

The Studio

 I don't know the studio address of Fraser Studios, or when the studio operated.  I've never found it listed in any of the Edinburgh trade directories.  Perhaps the company was never based in Edinburgh.

However this view in one of their photos is certainly an Edinburgh view, looking down from the crags in Holyrood Park, towards Dumbiedykes and the old town of Edinburgh.
