Several
years ago, I opened accounts with the Royal Bank of Scotland on behalf of
Edinburgh Photographic Society's annual International Photographic
Exhibitions.
The
bank abbreviated this name on their computer, and I started to receive
mail addressed to Edin
Photo, together with
occasional Special Offers addressed to Dear
Mr Photo.
EdinPhoto
seemed a suitable name to use for a web site on the history of Edinburgh
Photographic Societies and Edinburgh photographers, so I registered www.edinphoto.org.uk
(and also www.edinphoto.co.uk
which takes you to
the same site).
As
with many other web sites, either capital letters or small letters or
combinations can be used to spell edinphoto. e.g.
www.EDINPHOTO.org.uk
or
www.edinphoto.org.uk
or
www.EdinPhoto.org.uk
