Yellowcraigs Beach

Thank you to Jeanette Boon (nee Keighren)  for sending me the photograph above.

Jeanette had previously sent me photos and recollections of the time when she lived at Dumbiedykes, Edinburgh, before the houses there were demolished and she moved to Canada.

Now, Jeanette writes about a recent return visit to Edinburgh with her family:

Return Visit to Edinburgh

"My husband, John, and I visited Edinburgh in July 2010 with our children, their spouses and six grandchildren, 14 in all.

We had a wonderful time walking down the Royal Mile, stopping at:

-  the school I went to, Milton House, now The Royal Mile Primary School.

-  Queensberry House, where I worked, now part of The Scottish Parliament building.

John and I climbed Arthur's Seat - not bad for 71 years old, eh!"
